The 1 On 1 Camp at All American just might be the most important opportunity of the year. Here's why: the game of lacrosse often comes down to one player's ability to beat or stop another player. College coaches now develop game strategy around finding the one-on-one mismatch on the field. A player's standing, confidence, and future in the sport often centers on his ability to beat or stop an opponent in man to man situations.
This three-day camp will teach dodging, protection, reading the field, and positioning for the offensive player. For defensive players, positioning, holds, checking, and strategy will be covered. Specialized instruction will be given for three separate groups - Attack, Defense, and Midfield. The curriculum was developed by Ron Hebert and Nick Panas, two of the best coaches and strategists in the game, and currently Head and Assistant Coach respectively at Oakland University. Under their direction, several Michigan All Americans now playing college lacrosse will be working directly with the players, as well as Scorpion Lacrosse staff and special guidance on occasion from Scorpion pro player counsel.
This camp includes a speed and agility component taught by Christian Thompson of Evolutions, one of the top trainers in the area known for his tailored lacrosse player regimen. Christian currently works with several Michigan Division 1 recruits to prepare them for lacrosse at the highest level.
This camp is for advanced players only! You must be proficient at passing, catching, and ball carry both left and right-handed. No exceptions! For those that have not yet mastered these skills, please consider our Warriors Elite camp as described on this page.
